The LONG Awaited Blog!

Yup - it's me!! It's been a while...my slacker ways caught up with me something fierce!! However...better late than never.

So here's my story...

My Job:
Work is going well - I really like what I'm doing and really like the people I work with - we have some good times and good laughs - but as per every office we have our stressful times too - but so far so good - and hey - I've lasted 3 months so far - so that's saying something!! haha

Ottawa:
The wedding in Ottawa this past weekend was so nice!! I went with my sister -she was a good date!! lol It was a small wedding - only about 30 people went - it was at a really nice restaurant downtown - we ate from like 7pm to 10pm lol - there was no dance - just dinner - but it was nice - got to hang out with the family. My stepmom only embarassed me once...story time?? I think so. So we were at this table with the bride's aunt and uncle whom we have never met before. The story of my nephew comes up (long story short - he went camping with his dad, had a swiss army knife in his bag, forgot to take it out, took it to school, knife fell out, police were called...) So my stepmom decided that this would be appropriate dinner talk with strangers...who had the total opposite opinion to hers. (mind u her opinion was...but he's 7! and he's my grandson! He would never do anything with it to hurt anyone! If they only knew him and used common sense...yadda yadda.) meanwhile the couple at our table were like - yes..but there is a zero tolerance rule in effect for a reason and my stepmom basically just kept saying over and over - but he's 7. and then the guy went into a story about how a 7 year old cut the brake lines to his wife's car with a knife he brought to school. But anways - this argument went on for like 20 mins - I'm getting really pissy cause it was so stupid in the first place - and my dad finally had to raise his voice to make her stop (which he never does) so it was interesting...needless to say - conversation after that was pretty awkward. oi. But the rest of the wedding was good and the bride and groom looked ever so happy together!! :)

And that's about it...pretty sad for like a 3 month absence lol - but I skipped a lot of the day to day stories. Anywho - almost time for lunch...lol yeah I'm doing this at work...employee of the year here I come!! haha
