Are We Happy Now??

Lol it only took me what...like 3 months - but here it is finally lol the highly anticipated picture. And I was so excited about that I posted it in the early morning hours after I got home from the bar. haha

The weekend was good tho - we went to the movies on Friday nite and saw The Last Kiss - the most depressing movie ever - but in retrospect it was very real and well the soundtrack was awesome - so it is my mission today to download songs from it lol. Last nite it was Leanne's birthday party and we took her to the Trash where it was a hot and sticky nite - and raining - so when venturing out to the patio u got cooled off - but soaked right through...then people probably just thought we were super sweaty mmmm. and I got stepped on...my toe is only slightly bruised.

I went shopping this weekend too...spent way to much money - but I figure...oh well - Happy Birthday to me?? lol I got a pair of jeans, new pants for work and an awesome sweater - and then I went to the new home store that opened here in search of cheap bed sheets cause as I was putting mine on the other day...it ripped. lol - but they were sold out of them - so I'm stuck with ripped sheets for now. But I did get a collage picture frame - so that's my new project to get tons of pictures in the next while to create the collage! and I got a new shower caddy for my shower since my old one is really gross. lol

But it was a good relaxing weekend - and looking forward to camping next weekend - cross ur fingers that the weather holds out for us!!

I do believe that updates u on me! Hope the weekend was good for all.

Finally! The most anticipated picture of the year...and while it's not a very good one of me - I'm sure there are better ones to come!! lol so enjoy the picture of Dave and me. Posted by Picasa

An Update!

Lol I'm hardly a blog bully...I do believe my "Myspace" comment section had a certain someone forcefully asking where my blog was...

Anywho - the picture...again as forcefully requested...should be coming soon. We are going to a party this weekend and I've put Ju on picture patrol lol - she told me that she'd get a good one of us - and then u'll get the chance to see him and he'll then be real - no longer a figment of my imagination!!

Other than that not much new to report on my end either - I should have stories from this weekend and definatly from the camping trip! lol

Not much going on....

to warrant a post..lol but linds is now the official blog bully so i have to keep up...

so i spent last weekend watching the entire season of Prison Break..I had started watching the second season, but it's a tad confusing when you dont understand what the hell is going on..anyways, it turned out to be an excellent show..and i really enjoyed it... i also bought the new chantal kreviazuk c.d which i can't say i'm too fond of, and the new Snow Patrol c.d which i really like..i can't get enough of them

other than that..not much else has happened, was at scotia bank today and they have this new chequing account where you can fly to certain cities for free, minus taxes and such, and D.C is one of those places, so i'm gonna look into it..see if it's worth it

Hmm...what else?? nothing really..don't have anything planned for this weekend...or in the future weekends....

After All These Years....

Ok...so I have a story...one that shocked me to my very core. I was in grade 4. My friends talked me into doing a lipsync in front of my entire school. We decided to do ours to "You Can't Hurry Love" by the Supremes...shut up - we had to do oldies cause apparently the songs of the day were too "riske" lol so anyways - we practiced for weeks and because I was freakishly strong for my age...we thought it would be fun if I lifted up my friend and twirled her around - so ok no problem I had it down pat by the time it came to perform. However...the act that went on before us was to "Splish Splash" and they had a bathtub and bubbles and the whole bit...making the stage very slippery...can u tell where this is going...anyways...we all know how good I am on my feet so adding soapy water to the equation was just asking for disaster. So it comes to the part of the song where I had to do my big lift...only to get thrown off balance...slide...drop my friend (who landed with grace and ease) I however did not have such luck. I fell with no grace...slid across the stage and came to a stop when I hit the electrical socket that they brilliantly built into the floor...thankfully it was broken - but still can leave a nasty bruise....anyways. I can still remmeber the "Ohhhh" that came from the crowd - but the trooper that I am...I keep going like nothing happened. Got off stage and vowed to hate the "Splish Splash" Girls forever....and a little bit of me has to this day. Until for some reason lipsynching came up in coversation the other day while talking to Kate and Garrett. Kate said - oh yeah we used to do that every year! Our best one was the one we did to "Splish Splash" well my jaw dropped and I pointed at her and said "YOU! IT WAS YOU!!!" and she was all confused and Garrett just said...."oh God...it was you." and I proceeded to tell her the story while being in complete and udder shock.

It only took like 14 years...but the truth comes out!!!! Lol couldn't believe it...I nearly fainted. But laugh...man - what are the chances really??? Friggin small town.

Girls Weekend in Michigan! (Part 2)

so I believe I left off around 10am on Saturday morning...

So we get into Frankenmuth around 11ish...12ish?? Anyways - I went total tourist on Kim and Nikki and took pics of all the sign and such...and then I saw the best one ever...one of those cutouts that u can put ur head into the hole and it's ur head on the body of someone...lol didn't explain that well - however...I saw this and was like - "we have to get a picture!!" and Kim said...well I'll take the picture cause she didn't wanna be in it until this crazy lady came over and said - "I'll take it for u!!" so we're like...ok...so we show her how to use the cameras and we go become a German Family...Nikki was the mother, Kim the little girl...and me...they made me the man..lol oi - anyways...there is no picture on my end cause the crazy lady just watched the screen on my camera and never actually took a picture. Lol - but it was special standing there for like 10 mins waiting for her to try.

So we walked around the city and we saw all the Haus' that were to be seen (there was a Haus for everything! Cheese, chocolate, coffee, candy - u name it - it had a haus!) and by about 3pm we decided it was time to go back to the hotel to check in.

3pm - Find our way to the hotel and check in and chill out eating melted O'Henry bars...yummers.

6pm decide we are hungry and I say - well we'll just drive down the strip and we're bound to find a restaurant. Well don't we end up in the fricken slums...boarded up houses and the whole bit. So we decide that stopping here is definatly not an option...especially after we see a giant "Wanted" sign on the side of the road...one for Armed Robbery and one for 1st Degree Murder...and while the guy that was wanted for murder was caught...it still didn't instill confindence in me lol - so we got back on the interstate and found an Applebee's.

8pm - we get to Applebee's...yes getting to the restaurant seemed to be a challenge!! lol - anywho - this is where we discover that Michiginaians have accents. We're all kinda tired and the waitress asked Kim if she could take the plate on the side of the table (Kim was still eating off her main plate) and Kim kinda looked at her and Nikki and I were like - the plate in her hand...not the plate ur eating off! lol then she came back and asked Kim if she wanted boxes to take her food home in...but boxes sounded like Bauxes and none of us knew what she had said...but Kim was like...what?? and the waitress said "Would u like som buaxes to take ur food home in?" Kim said "Ohhh! BOXES!" so we burst out laughing and Nikki comes back with..."We're not from here." So it was then we decided that it was time to head back to the hotel!

7:30am Sunday - We wake up (and apparently this is our sleep in lol) anywho - it was nice to get up early cause then we got to watch like 2 hours of mindnumbing MTV...a great show called "NEXT!" where u get the opportunity to date 5 people. They come out of a bus one at a time and if u don't like the look of them at first glance u can say "next" and another one will come out. But if ur nice enough to give them a chance u can also next them at any tme during the date - but then if u make it to the end with one person they have the choice of taking a dollar for every minute they were with u or go out on a second date...really quite pointless and shallow...yet we watched it like 4 times lol

9:30-10is - we go for breakfast where Kim listens in on the conversation going on at the table next to us and tries to start talking about the same thing with us. Nikki and I are like - u can't do that...u can't steal someone else's topic...especially when they can hear u and then they'll know that u were listening in on their conversation. Kim says - well we're in the same room - it's not hard to hear them lol

11am - we get to the outlet mall where we do some shopping and then go for lunch before we head back to Canada. Kim really wanted to hit up the Duty Free on the way back in - so we stopped and got the guidelines which clearly stated "24-48 hours - you may be charged tax and duty on liquor and tobacco." but did we listen??? Of course not!! The cheapness of the liquor steered us astray and so we all bought some and headed for the boarder. We get to the boarder and declare our liquor...after the customs officer says - where did u buy it and Kim said at Customs and the lady said -ur at customs now...u mean Duty Free? lol so she told us cause we declared it we had 3 options...all of which were shitty.However....Option 1. Abandon liquor and leave it with her...NEXT! 2. Turn around and go back over the bridge to return it...well the line to get back into Michigan was about a three hour wait...so NEXT! 3. Go suck it up and pay taxes on it...making it about as much as u would be paying in Canada for it...if not more. and being as there were no other options that didn't suck...we chose that one. So she directed us to the place where we had to go pay and Kim's like where do I go? I say - go to where theat officer is...but don't hit him!! So we get out ad there is a car in there that is getting torn apart and Kim says - wow glad they aren't doing that to us!! ANd Nikki says - wanna say it louder so they do??! lolso we go in and basically bend over and take it - taxes suck - we all paid more than what we spent on the liquor originally...bastards.

Anwyays - we get back to the car and the officer tells us to go left and follow our way back to the highway into Canada...Kim starts to back up instead of going left and I"m like - man go left!! she's like - it's a one way street - I'm like yeah - for going left!! lol thankfully we get out of there without them searching us!! lol and once we got back onto the Canadian highway it was such a relief!! lol until we get to the gas station...so we pull in and there are two guys one in a baseball jersey (Ian usually plays baseball down in Sarnia on this weekend - but didn't go this year - so Kim was wondering who won the game...) So she rolls down the window a crack and just stares at this guy...face against the window...she gets out of the car to pay for gas and the two guys come out of the store and the one asks her if she was staring at his friends ass!! Lol Nikki and I just about die laughing in the car and Kim's like - ohh umm no!! I was gonna ask u guys who won the game!! lol but killed ourselves laughing - Kim and I went into the store to get money and couldn't contain ourselves...it was too funny!!

5pm - drop Nikki off at home and Nik's dad gives us directions home and so Kim and I get back in the car and Kim's like...so where am I going?? so I burst out laughing and we figure our way out we get back to Orangeville around 9pm and I decide to go back that nite and Ian wrrote me out directions...well I got totally lost lol so I found my way to the 401 and just took it home - I was so tired by the time I hit the 115 that I was one auto pilot. But got home around midnite - called Kim and Nikki and went to bed!

And there u have it...awesome girls weekend guys!! Looking forward to November!! :)
And Kim - thanks so much for driving - that was awesome!! :)

Girls Weekend in Michigan! (Part One)

Here are all the stories from our girls weekend in Michigan this past weekend! We had a blast!! (Or at least I did!!) So let's start from the begining....

Friday 4:30pm: I start my road trip to Orangeville - and only get slightly lost along the way -but made it there by 8pm - not too bad - and traffic was good so that's a plus.

8pm - Get the grand tour of Kim and Ian's new place - it's very nice I liked it a lot!! Can't wait to see it all decorated at Christmas time!! It was also Kim's mom's birthday so I got to hang out with Kim's family for a couple of hours. Funny stories from that...Kim's aunt split a plate full of Chinese food (including the super stainy red sauce) all over their nice beige carpet...so Kim spends most of dinner trying to clean up the mess. Then her Grandfather said something mean about Oprah...but we won't go there lol - but it was good - I stayed in the corner for the most part and just let things happen around me lol. We went to bed around 11pm.

Saturday 4:30am: Kim and I wake up and get ready - we hit the road by 5:30 (right on time!!) We had a good chat in the car on the way to Nikki's - caught up and swaped stories about work, guys and life in general.

8:45am - get to Sarnia to pick up Nikki, jump over the barrier on her front porch...and I never did ask...but why is that there??? haha and then we hit the road again - stop at Tim Horton's which Kim nearly drives into the Drive Thru the wrong way while Nikki and I are yelling "Next Driveway!!!" it was good times!

10am - we get to the boarder and we're quizzing Kim to make sure she knows how to not get us arrested at the boarder lol and she did a great job of getting us across with ease. While driving through Michigan to get to Frankenmuth we encounter many awesome signs such as "Prison Area Do Not Pick Up Hitch Hikers." and "Kill/Injure a Worker $75,000 fine" Love the American way.

Part Two coming soon....
