My first day

So my first day was as boring as sin as linds like's to put it. I drafted four different wills(which wouldn't be so bad if i had experience drafting the damn things) i also drafted 8 Power's of Attorney's, 4 letteres to clients and some labels. I went to the Registry Office with another Law Clerk and incorporated a business, and had a look at the courthouse. Other than that, my day was nine hours long, hard and pretty boring...tomorrow i'm learning how to answer phones and transfer, and doing something to do with real estate....can't wait for my long boring day again.

Placement

Well...my first day of placement was horribly uneventful lol. I answered the phones and ate M&M's inbetween calls!! Yes!!
I also did some photocopying upon which I got 2 massive papercuts...lol
I guess we won't really get the full experience until we get out in the workplace - not that I don't appriciate the opportunity - but I'm just a runner/receptionist.
And tomorrow I get to re-organize the will files....Lol - exactly what I said I never wanted to do again!! lol - I see many more papercuts in my immediate future.

The Story of My Nite...

First of all - Nikki - I'm glad to hear that u got back home without too much trouble - but forgetting ur luggage keys - lol I would have laughed too!! And don't worry about Cubbley - Kim and I loaded her up a-ok - and Kim said she'd call me on Thursday when she came home so I could help her unload!

Well...Let me tell you - this day has gone on forever - but good things have come out of it! Let me explain...
I got up at 7:30 this morning to take my mom to the car shop - but I got breakfast out of it - which filled me up until dinner - so I was quite happy - like dang $5 goes a long way!! Then I went and got Nik and took her to the bus - I was rather dissapointed with my sendoff...I'm sorry! Then I went to Chumleighs - where I proceeded to spent $50 - but I got a cd and 3 dvds - so I'm pleased. Then came back home to clean my room for the carpet cleaners - who showed up late...at like 2 - but before that I went and got Rachel and took her to her interview - she gave me $5. Then I came back home and the cleaners were there and then when they left I took my mom back to the car shop. Came home - went over to Kim's and helped her load up Cubbley and went to work. Since my parents were out of town for dinner - I got the cook at work to save me a plate of old people food for dinner - it was delish. Then I came home really tired...but nonetheless got ready for a Spades concert - which I'm so glad I did - I had soo much fun...and this is a whole new story....

So we get there and all is well and good - find a table - there is this older couple there and they say we can have the table - but be forewarned they were saving them for their friends - but meh. lol Then as the nite went on the couple got drunker and drunker...so we would scream after every song and the man was like - damn u guys are loud!! I like it!! lol - then he tried to get us to yell things in unison...didn't work out so well. Then his wife got really really drunk...this is the best part - since I'm always the one who seems to attract these people and I'm sitting beside her - she grabs me and hugs me...I'm like whoa...ok. Then her friends walk in and she grabs me and says these bitches stole our table (jokingly mind u...yet I was still frightened lol) so smiling I said - I'm sorry. But she's like no worries dear. Then she turned...grabbed me and called us bitches like 5 times after that. Then I guess she felt that we must have bonded...cause she started to introduce my to people as her daughter...I was like - whoa whoa now...but then she would burst out laughing and say kidding!! Then she was asking me about school and apparently she went to Fleming too so everytime after that that she called me a bitch she said - but it's ok cause ur from Fleming. Ok Crazy Lady.

But the concert was amazing and we had such a good time!! Great music!!!! :D

Good start to reading week for sure! Have a good one all - bed time for this wee one. Nite!!

I heart Skatch

You gotta love it when you sitting on a bus surrounded by strangers and you start laughing to yourself. I all of a sudden remembered the skatch and i remembered all the fun times Patty invoked in Title Searching...gotta love wardrobe malfunctions. My ride was pretty uneventful...no one hit on me..but some old couple told me war stories and some woman laughed at me in the Tim hortons in london onece i realized that i forgot the keys for my luggage locks. Today my dad and i had an interesting converstaion... He told me i was as goofy as Lance..who's dating my cousin..i asked why...and he said i was "bunny goofy"...i said "i'm not bunny goofy" and he said "yeah your heart was in the right place but your brain was up your ass"...gotta love your parents when they boost your self esteem like that.

Family Law

So when u get the exam and it's friggin 15 pages long...that's a bit discouraging. When u get though the first question and realize it's taken u half an hour to do....and there are like many more questions to go...you just wanna close it up and be all - I don't have this kind of time.

But I didn't do that - I plodded along and luckily the other questions weren't as thorough...however I bullshitted a lot of the answers lol - so we'll have to wait and see how that one goes. Blah.

My Exciting Friday!!

So Friday would be the first day we have off after midterms - the glorious start of reading week (even tho I'm working 40 hours next week for my placement - that's beside the point - I dont' have to go to work or school....sweet) But Friday, Saturday and Sunday are my days off...all to myself...well - almost lol.

I have to get up at 7:30 in the morning (this is going to be difficult...I don't wake up that early to go to school!) But I have to drive my mom to take the car to the shop...and she said she would buy me breaky - so that's fine. Then by 9:30 I have to pick Nikki up and take her to the bank and send her on her way home - I'll give a tearful, embarassing good-bye - no worries!! Then by 3 I have to be back at Kim's to help her load Chubbly into the car so she can take him home and take care of him over reading week (oh wait...the rabbit is a girl right?? well no matter...I'll still call it a boy - I'm sure it won't mind.) Then by 4 I have to go to work. Lol oh the exciting life I lead!! Lol - but really - I don't mind - so don't think that I'm using the blog to get out of doing these things for u guys!! I just like to stress the fact that I'm getting up at 7:30 in the AM and am running around the whole day. What the shit. Lol - but I can see some laughs along the way...especially when Kim and I try to get Chubbly into the car lol - Don't worry Nik - we won't hurt him!!! :D (If the bunny looks different when u get home...it's just because u haven't seen him in a while.) Lol I kid...we'll take good care of Chubbly.

Anywho - enough of that - I gotta go to bed now!

Oh yes...and all that studying we did - I can see that A coming my way. Lol.

I just got my bunny, who in the past 7 hours has had three different names..Stormy, Licorice..Tubby.. Sir Chubs a-lot..and now Chubbley. It has taken me close to 2 hours to get the damn bunny in it's cage again...at least i know he likes our futons. can't wait to tell my dad about the newest addition to our family!

Good Morning!

Welcome to Tuesday! Today is my long day at school - but since David said our exam was likely to only take like 20 mins - I at least get to go home for a while before my 5-8 class. Speaking of that exam...I should probably study for that...lol as highly overrated as studying is....I don't think a lot of that material stuck...it's just too friggin boring.

Hmm my tummy is hungry...I shall go feed it and then look through my notes...and laugh at all the doodles - since that's pretty much what my notes consist of! Top student here I come!! Lol

AWWW....Linds today was way too much fun...especially the part when we showed up on your doorstop, and was completely astounded by the fact that Dan practically shut the door in our faces, good thing Kim rebounded and asked for Lindsay Plumber...I wonder who that girl really is? More Life Lessons

Today...again thanks to my great friends...I have learned some more life lessons.

1. You tell ur friends that this guy is coming over...and they jokingly threaten that they'll call....don't take it as a joke.
2. Soon they start telling you that they will show up - you all laugh along at the thought of how embarassing that would be and you think they wouldn't do that...don't think that.
3. The doorbell rings and ur heart sinks - but u think maybe just maybe it's someone for your parents...don't be so foolish.
4. You hear "Lindsay Plumber" ringing throughout ur house followed by laughter...you think...I must be dreaming - Your not - you are awake - this is happening.
5. You tell the guy...I'm sorry I'll be right back - run upstairs to find Kim and Nikki standing in your front door laughing their asses off - you think there must be a logical explaination for this...there isn't.
6. At least in their wisdom came up with an idea to make it look like they didn't drop by just to get a look at him - I'll give them that...that's about it tho.
7. I ask...well since ur here do u want to meet him? Thinking maybe just maybe they'll save me at least that...don't think that.
8. He comes upstairs and they do their meet and greet and thankfully they leave within 5 mins.
9. The guy asks what was that about? U think...maybe he'll forget that they were just there...he didn't I was forced to answer the question. Dropping off Kim's grad pics I say - ahh he says and back downstairs we go.

Mamma Mia

On the way home from school, kim made me listen to Mamma Mia, however i couldn't find a sharp object fast enough to insert it into my eye...and in typical kim fashion she sang a long to it. We got home and played Nintendo, i played Nintendo actually, Kim just died alot. She promised to take me to get ice cream...since i've been a good girl lately...
Kim had a garage sale today, but she refused to sell me the leopard print "thingy" in her closet...i'm so sure. I also found out that the little "prize" thing Kim gave me for my purse needs a new home since it fell out on the Rexall counter today.

True, Karaoke was way too fun last night, the best part was "Lolita" you know when your drunk and you don't quite get the joke, but everyone is literally watching you and your two other "band mates" laughing, you just had to laugh along. I also appreciated the drunken lady with the ugly lipstick hitting on lindsay....and the drunken singer who told jokes, but i'm not a big bar hopper so i didn't quite get his drunken slur thing..but give me time

I have to tell the story of McThirsty's...cause well...it's just too damn funny! So Nikki went out for drinks with this guy off the internet so of course being the good friends we are - we wouldn't let her go alone...so get everyone we know together and go to a bar to watch from afar! But before we head out....what do I do to show my support?? What any good friend would do in my situation....make a t-shirt with her face on it and walk around the bar lol - I didnt' show the guy if that makes it any better....but we had a good laugh - so all in all it all worked out!! :)

Karaoke Rocks!

Karaoke last nite was such a blast! Had many good laughs and of course made complete asses of ourselves by singing infront of a whole bar! Mind u - most of the people there were rather drunk! Lol - like my favourite...the drunk guy who high fived us and said "Yay Girls!" Too bad he was old and dirty....and not to mention that lady who hit on me...freaky deaky.

But nonetheless we got up there and belted it out as best we could and I appriciated the "Congratualtions! U guys were horrible!" at the end of our song...."Who's Bed Have Ur Boots Been Under?" lol - but good times...good times. Next time I gotta drink so I'm not so nervous.

Lindsay refused to sit on my lap, I guess I get quite scary after 2 drinks. Whatever, i'm sure drunken dancing dude loved me for me :P
