I feel so bad that you've had such a crappy week. First of all...damn the spider or whatever it was that bit you. and Secondly - ur ex-boss sucks ass - who is he to tell you that your inadequate?! Douchebag. I too have had a crappy week, but with some good news mixed in for good measure. It was the longest week of my life - I feel like it's been like a month - but it's only been 7 days! and since I haven't blogged at all...I'll run through it to make up for it!
Sunday - Dan picks me up at Jac's around 3 - there are a car load of people to drop off in various locations around Toronto. Then we take Mack back to Hamilton and are back in town by 6:30 (we drove super fast!) Went into the nursing home to see how everyone was holding up and I did my best to say my goodbye's to my grandfather - then came home and cried for a while.
Monday - Got a phone call from the lawyer I applied to asking for an interview on Tuesday - alright. I took my Nan to the doctors office and then went back to the nursing home but couldn't stay cause he had gotten that much worse overnite.
Tuesday - Got up at like 8 or 9 cause sleep was pointless I wasn't getting any anyways - puttered around the house and got ready for my interview. Went and had the interview - which went pretty well - but I left my bag in the office...so I had to come back in and make an ass of myself and the assistant was all "Ahh making that lasting impression eh??" and she laughed and I was like "Yeah." Thinking...ahh well - something else is bound to come up lol. Then I get home and get a call saying that my granddad passed away and everyone was coming back to the house...so 10 second tidy and everyone showed up and we all cried again. But my aunt and my cousin who I haven't seen in like 12 years came down so it was really nice to see him. I got a phone call around 7 from the lawyer asking me for a second interview - sweet - I did leave that lasting impression lol Everyone stayed for dinner and went home around 10ish
Wednesday - Hussle and bussle at the house cause my Nan was now staying with us so we had comings and goings all day. I got ready for my interview went and did it - but being so sleep deprived do u think I could follow instructions?? lol she hands me a disk and says - here are two case studies and a letter - do them, save them to the disk and let me know when ur done. So I do them, print them out, close the program before saving anything to the disk and tell her I'm done. She comes back and says - write ur name on the disk...I say...right yeah...I didn't save anything to the disk...while thinking to myself...oh well something else is bound to come up. lol go into the lawyers office and he said everything looked good but that I missed the trick question - I was like - look at me - I can barely keep my eyes open - u think my mind is functioning at a high enough level to catch the trick question. But I just smiled and said ohh well at least I learned a lesson. So I left there and went back home where there were people and then we all went out to my uncle's for dinner - which was really nice - we got telling stories and having really good laughs!! So it was good!
Thursday - Sitting at the table with mom, Nan and Dan - phone rings - it's the lawyer's assistant extending an offer of employment to me - I was like - are u serious??? as she was trying to tell me everything I needed to know - but figure I'll get everything clarified when I go in on Wednesday - cause I was too excited to listen to what she was telling me! lol - so I hung up the phone, burst into tears and hugged everyone one and it made us all happy for a little while!
Friday - Good Friday - so we just hung out at home until the wake. It was nice tho - lots of people came through and I think I only cried twice - I held it together quite nicely! Then after we went out to my uncle's house were we proceeded to drink like noneother. My aunt was so funny - she never drinks - but she got a whole bottle of JD down lol - I guess it was a messy ride home for her! We left there around midnite and I was loose in the backseat of the van cause there was no seat for me...and don't we get stopped by a ride program...well there's no way in hell I'm getting fined and demerit points! so I get down as flat as I can and get most of the blanket over me and hope that the cop doesn't shine his light on me! Well there were lots of boxes in my way- so I was already confined to sitting with my knees to my chest...so it was interesting trying to get laid down! lol - but I did it and got away with it! sweet.
Saturday - I lost the vote on breakfast (I wanted pancakes...but ended up with french toast - so I ate leftovers from last nite) and the funeral was at 1pm - so we got ready and went there - it was a really nice serivce - my mom did the euligy so I was done lol - she did really well tho - I'm quite proud of her. My dad and stepmom came too so it was nice to have them there. Then after the reception was downstairs and we had some great eats. and my cousin went to pick up her kid - she's like 2ish but the cutest kid ever!! so we had lots of fun with her. Then my aunts and uncles came back to the house for a little bit and left around 5. Nancy and I went to get movies and came back and threw them on. Ryan came over cause he mixed up the days and thought the wake was Saturday nite not Friday nite lol - so he came and took me out for coffee which was nice. Then I came home and totally crashed - I'm so tired!! lol and I haven't been sleeping in my own bed since Wednesday nite - so that kinda sucks - but what can u do. Only one more sleep now till I get it back.
Sunday - well I'm writing this huge long blog! And I'm going to my dad's for Easter dinner tonite - so that'll be nice - I'll see everyone I'm related to on both my mom and dad's side in a just a matter of a few days! lol - lots of visiting but it's been nice. Anywho - I'm gonna go hang out with my nanny - she's here until tomorrow morning. Hope this week goes better for u Nikki!! :)
